Based in Norwich, Norfolk, Cannon Clarke Architects undertakes projects locally and across the UK, in urban, rural, and conservation settings.

With extensive experience, we offer design services to both commercial and domestic clients. Our practice attracts clients who value architecture and seek bespoke services with a strong commitment to environmental sustainability. We listen carefully to our clients’ needs and aspirations, considering the project’s constraints and maximising its potential. We place great importance on the specific context of each building and its contribution to the broader built environment.

At our architectural practice, we work across a diverse range of building types and use classes, serving private domestic clients, the hotel and leisure industries, commercial residential developers, educational institutions, healthcare providers, community organisations, and charitable commissions. Leveraging our extensive experience, we craft bespoke architectural solutions through thorough consultations, ensuring a deep understanding of both client and end-user needs to create functional and elegant buildings.

What We Do

Founded by Andrew Clarke and Jonathan Brent, Cannon Clarke Architects is a collective of highly talented individuals with diverse experience and educational backgrounds. Our team ranges from experienced RIBA Chartered members to new architectural apprentices, and includes employees from the UK, Europe, and beyond. This cultural and experiential diversity enriches our creative problem-solving and encourages thinking beyond the conventional.

From the initial consultation, we think strategically and explore various design options to identify the most suitable solution that meets and exceeds expectations. We work iteratively and closely with our clients, ensuring they understand the design journey and decision-making process.

We always think in three dimensions, using 3D software and in-house CGI tools from the outset to present ideas illustratively, conveying a realistic and emotive sense of the possible final outcome. Our use of the latest BIM-capable CAD software allows us to share design progress with clients and stakeholders through BIMX.

Our Commitment

At Cannon Clarke Architects, we embrace the future and invest in the development of all our staff. We actively promote mentoring for junior staff, host internal design reviews and presentations, and offer a comprehensive CPD programme. We are dedicated to the benefits of education through our architectural and related apprenticeships at A, T, Degree, and Masters levels.
