Completion of Heigham Park Project

Net Zero carbon Public Toilets

Pleased to be working with Norwich City Council on the Heigham Park, Norwich washroom project as part of our ongoing commitment to enhancing public spaces for the community.

Cannon Clarke Architects were commissioned to design a fit-for-purpose, modern replacement for the outdated facilities in this Grade II Listed park. The newly completed washrooms are now open for public use, offering a more accessible, safe, space.

Our design moves away from the traditional separate male and female washrooms, opting for a flexible arrangement of cubicles facing the main path under a striking external canopy. This layout benefits from passive surveillance, ensuring safety and inclusivity.

The material palette—dark-stained timber and galvanised steel, was carefully chosen to complement the park’s existing architecture, while the pale olive interiors create a calm and welcoming atmosphere.

We’d like to thank our contractors, TGA Alliance Ltd, for delivering the project to a high standard, on time, and within budget. The challenge was to create a robust, durable structure that not only meets the functional needs of the public but also enhances the charm of the park

We are excited to continue our work in the public sector, creating spaces that positively impact the community!
