East of England Sustainable Building Network

We were very pleased to host a successful East of England Sustainable Building Network event on 4th November 2024. Bringing together construction professionals, local authorities, and industry experts to discuss and drive sustainable practices in the built environment. Our guests appreciated the relaxed format, hosted by Andrew Clarke over breakfast. The event provided a platform for lively discussions, knowledge-sharing, and collaboration on the future of sustainability in construction.

Valuable Insights – Pathway to NetZero

The event received an excellent turnout, with attendees enjoying both the networking opportunities and an insightful presentation on Cannon Clarke Architects’ internal practices in sustainable building strategies and tools. These strategies are designed to help our partners take meaningful steps toward NetZero. The presentations sparked a wealth of ideas, with industry leaders sharing their experiences and thoughts on best practices for a sustainable future.

Speakers Jon Brent and James Cotton provided interesting insights into the evolving landscape of sustainable architecture. The discussions emphasised the importance of going beyond basic compliance and focusing on real, impactful sustainability efforts. Future collaboration

The feedback we gathered highlighted a strong interest in further collaboration and knowledge-sharing opportunities. Attendees were excited to continue the conversation and explore ways to work together, aiming to support regional sustainability efforts. This aligns directly with the UK’s 2050 NetZero target and Norfolk County Council’s goal for NetZero carbon emissions by 2030 across its assets. We’re eager to continue building this community of like-minded professionals, all dedicated to creating a more sustainable future.
