Sustainability in Construction Event, Norfolk
For our next East of England Sustainable Building Network (EESBN) event, Monday 7th April 2025, we’re inviting Callum Ross and James Dorrell from Mills & Reeve to discuss and share their knowledge on BNG and Planning Reforms, considering the legal issues and opportunities surrounding BNG and Nutrient Neutrality. They will take a look at the proposed changes to the environmental aspects of planning laws, such as the establishment of Nature Restoration Funds and how these could impact the environment. Additionally they will explore the topic of construction waste and how to tackle challenges and opportunities in managing it, and discuss the legal and regulatory aspects of waste management and circular economy approaches.
This event provides a platform for discussions, sharing knowledge, learning ways to increase sustainability in the built environment, and networking opportunities over breakfast and tea and coffee. The event aims to bring people together to collectively drive sustainability in construction, aligning with the UK’s goals for Net Zero Carbon by 2050.
