Office Design Essex
Concept Scheme for a new Office Development
Our clients engaged the services of Cannon Clarke Architects to explore the options of creating a new-build 350 sqm office building as their own security sector headquarters.
The site the building is on a plot, already consented for office-to-residential conversion. As such the remainder of the site had been designated for residential parking with defined numbers conditioned as part of the planning consent.
Our proposals initially identified a more efficient layout for parking and a layout that would allow additional parking for the office, separate and secure from the residential use. The organisation of the plan of the building therefore is dependent on the organisation of parking bays in order for the building to be structured and have a minimal ground floor footprint.
The net office accommodation occupies the first and second floor of the building with glazing and balconies to the north and south elevations whilst the east and west elevations are entirely solid to avoid issues of overlooking from the residential component of the scheme.
Cannon Clarke Architects can provide initial feasibility studies to create form and massing diagrams, coupled with initial analytical space studies. Our strategic approach to design allows early concepts to be rationalised and give a clear vision for our clients. We carry out town and country planning services, building regulations compliance, full working and coordinated drawing packages, tender services, pre and post contract administration to ensure your project is in the best hands from concept to completion.
